Whether a camper chooses horseback riding at our premier camp, Allegheny Riding Camp, or visual or performing arts or a combination of all three opportunities, each venue offers state of the art facilities.

Buffalo Springs Horse Farm Day Camps for Kids!!
The Kids will help with feeding and watering horses The Kids will learn to do the following:
- Groom (clean the horses feet, what brush to use wear, bath a horse, clip a horses muzzle and bridle path) - Tie a Horse Safely
- Saddle and Bridle
- Ride in the Arena and out on the Trail
- Clean a stall
We will have Horse Movies, Games, lots of fun stuff. Bring a change of clothes, shorts and sneakers for bathing horses Each child will be assigned a horse for the week to take care of.

Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA
Calling all Horse Lovers! Our summer camp offers beginning to advanced riders FUN-tastic riding options in Western &/or English styles. Choose from one hour a day lessons or spend half the day in our Equestrian or Ranch Specialty programs. In addition to their riding choice, campers will also be able to choose from and enjoy a wide variety of traditional camp activities including swimming, boating, arts & crafts, adventure, and sport activities.
We provide unlimited opportunities for campers to build lasting friendships, develop new skills, gain independence & confidence, lead healthy lifestyles and take responsibility for making their world a better place within a diverse community of campers and supportive staff.
Accreditation: Our program is accredited by Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) and the American Camp Association.
The Staff: Equestrian Programs Director, Robin Danaker is a Level 4 CHA Certified Instructor. She is assisted by other adults who have a wealth of equestrian and instructional experience. Cabin counselors are college age men and women selected for their positive personal characteristics, experience working with youth/teens and ability to lead camp activities.
Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA is 1? hours west of NYC & 2 1/2 hours north of Philly in NE PA. Our 1,100 acres of Pocono woodlands feature a private 42 acre lake, modern cabins, extensive trails, ranch, fields and more. 1 & 2 week sessions with up to 8 weeks available to all sleepaway camp campers or 1 week sessions for day campers.
