Brummel Horse Farm
Brummel Horse Farm is now proud to offer our 2011 Pony Camp to young horse
enthusiasts interested in developing their knowledge while building lasting
friendships and memories. We strive to enrich the horse community by offering our
quality riding program at affordable rates. This year, we would like to present one
special horse enthusiast a lowered rate (50% reduction) for camp enrollment per
week. Every young horse lover should have the opportunity to participate in a
program that will allow their goals and passions with horses blossom. To
participate, send in a photo and/or drawing and a short essay about yourself and why
you would like to be a part of our riding camp. Bonus points for creativity. No
prior horse knowledge needed! Merit and financial based. Send essays and photos to
amandamanown@hotmail.com. Please have entries in by June 15th 2011, but feel free to
continue entering throughout the summer for discount opportunities in future camp
weeks.

To keep our camp safe and individualized, we are only accepting six campers per
week. The instructor/child ratio is 1:2.
Camp Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
Early drop off starts at 7:00am included in regular camp rates
Late pick up ends at 7:00pm included in regular camp rates
Weekly Camp Itinerary
Monday: Students get their own Brummel Horse Farm T-shirt that they will wear each
day for pony camp. Campers choose their ponies with guidance from their instructor.
First lessons on grooming and general behavior in the barn. Lunch break. Students
will learn how to tack up their ponies and then an hour long riding lesson proceeds.
Tuesday: Campers learn about barn maintenance and care. Hour long riding lesson
proceeds. Lunch break. Students will then learn about their pony’s nutrition and
feed their pony in the evening.
Wednesday: Students will retrieve their ponies from the pasture, groom them, and
tack them. Later, an extended riding lesson on sportsmanship and games on horseback.
Campers feed their horses and return them to their fields.
Thursday: Students will retrieve their ponies from the pasture, groom them, and tack
them. A riding lesson follows where campers will learn more games on horseback. Then
the students will use their creative abilities to design their own picture frame
which they will use later in the week.
